Stupid? Definitely.
Of course, when I notice the big ole bleach splatter, I get seriously pissed. Pissed at myself, and at my very bleachable shirt.
But I don’t want to let a good shirt go to waste. So what do I do? I pull out some q-tips and let my creative juices flow… in the form of a bleached flower to cover the splatter.
Not my best work, to be sure. But it is nice that I don’t have to feel like a bleached out slob whenever I wear the shirt to the grocery store or to get the mail.

My stupidity will not get the best of me!!
Very creative! I don't think I ever would have thought of doing that. Mine would have become a shirt to wear when painting or something.
ReplyDeleteI like how you always look on the bright side of things-cute flower! Can't believe you did it with q-tips. I would have to use my Clorox bleach pen to get it looking that good. I have bleach splatter on my nice Gap Khakis...any ideas on that one?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it. What a great idea and I think it turned out so cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't feel bad, every time I use bleach I end up getting it on my clothes or something (like a towel). That's why I hardly use the stuff. LOL
Soft Scrub cleaning the kitchen sink is always what gets me! Can I mail you some bleach spotted shirts from my closet? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the flower design - you are so clever!
I have some painting competition! And bleach is so much cheaper. :o)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! In fact, this shirt is so cute, you should do bleach painting on purpose! I'd write more, but I have to go to my yard-work-t-shirt drawer and salvage (and embellish) my bleach-spotted shirts now.
ReplyDeleteThat is using your head..I am awful with bleach and have ruined so many shirts..will keep this in mind.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I have a brown shirt (favorite of course) the I got bleach on and have been trying to come up with a fix. I am so going to copy you! Now I'm excited!
ReplyDeletegreat idea!! u are so beyond creative :)
ReplyDeleteahhh, that was not a mistake. it was just an "opportunity for embellishment!" which you did very well, by the way.
ReplyDeleteNice save!
ReplyDeleteMarisa, I LOVE that shirt! Maybe you need to open up a 3rd shop ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this. I often have things like that happen to me and I think I will sew/Iron on a pretty applique' yet never do. Seeing your creative spirit has definitly made me motivated to save me from my blunders. Thanks.
