New Lil' Illos

Seriously, how perfect are those song lyrics for this new illustration? Perfect, I say. Perfect.

I have two more 5 x 7 inch illustrations that I've added to my shop. I'll be listing limited prints (only 20 of each) as well, although I don't know if all 20 will make it into my shop. Holly (aka Winklepots) is getting ready for a craft fair in August and I'll be shipping out some of my favorite prints for her booth. These little owlets are definitely amongst my favorites. I hope you love 'em too, as I have a few more owlet sketches waiting to be colored in!

By the Sea

Gracie and I sat down with some paper and colored pencils to draw sock monkeys the other day. "Drawing a sock monkey is easy," she informed me. "You just draw a hot dog and then put a sock monkey face on it."

They do look like hot dogs with faces, don't they? Ah, my artistic secrets are being revealed by a four year old with a love for Oscar Mayer.

    Oh my heavens I love those owls to pieces!!! I'm quite sure that I'll have to add them to my ever growing collection of your prints very very soon!

    And OMG I totally have to agree with Amy, I'll never be able to look at your sock monkeys without seeing hot dogs from now on!

    So so cute! I just may have to spend some more money in your shop!!! My brother & his wife are expecting their first child this November. I just found out they will be hanging the gnome prints I bought from you several months ago in the nursery!

    I've never been a sock monkey fan {I know, I'm probably like the only one in the whole wide world!} UNTIL I came across your little cuties.

    And, I'm sure the hot dog vision will remain in my mind from now on as well. :)

    Nothing like a 4 year old to take you down a few notches! So were you able to undo the blue hand on the monkey or did you have to start over again?

    And BTW...they are VERY cute hot dogs :)
