Handmade Ornament Exchange

I've never done a crafty swap before so I was excited when Andrea, one of the girls from my street team, the Fabulous Artistic Moms (FAM) - which is the street team that helps me keep my sanity on a daily basis, as it is full of other crafty mamas who cope with kids while running a crafty business - decided to organize an ornament exchange.

I was excited to make Christmas ornaments, as I've never done that before, so I designed a Santa Sock Monkey mini print just for my swap.

I love being crafty and my fingers were itching to get a hold of my glue gun, scrapbook paper, and some glitter. All the ornaments have a generous sprinkling of holographic glitter across the top, as glitter makes the world go round. And there are two little jingle bells hiding under the green ribbon. Glittery and jingly - nice and festive.

Too bad I forgot to make one for myself. I think I might need to have more Santa Monkey prints made so I can make some for my own tree.

I think they turned out pretty cute. Hopefully everyone in my swap group agrees! And I hope you are all enjoying your holidays, so far.

xoxo,

I think they turned out awesome! In fact mine is hanging right in the front of my tree! (although between you, me, and the rest of the internet --> the card was my favorite part!! hehe!)

You should sell ornaments in your shop next year! That would be pretty awesome!

WOW yours turned out beautiful! Don't forget to post then on our FAM Flickr Pool.

Sweetie, I forgot to make one of my ornaments for myself as well. I don't know what I was thinking. I had so much fun with this exchange! I can't wait to see everyone's ornaments. The ornaments I received are so beautifully made and I will treasury them always!

And yes, I think you should make some up and sell them next year. Consider doing the same for Valentines, St. Patty's, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Thank giving! Lots of people decorate for those holidays as well. I bet your sock monkey ornaments will adorn many peoples homes in the future.
