Be Still, My Regency-Loving Heart

Remember a few months ago when I went on and on about about Captain Wentworth (swoon!) and my love for Persuasion and all things Jane Austen? {read here!} Well, I have a new favorite Regency novel now. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

I will not tell you one single thing about it. I refuse to ruin this delectable treat for you

... but let me just clarify: It's Pride and Prejudice. And ultra-violent zombie mayhem. Seriously. That's genius.

I don't know, folks... I think I might need to go in a new direction for my shop. Can't you just see it now?

And of course, I know just the illustration to begin my shop revamp:

Regency Snob Miranda... and Zombies!

Hmmmm.... Perhaps my artistic identity crisis is taking its toll on my brain.

But if you haven't read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith), you might want to run out and get it.

Genius, I say. Genius.

xoxo,

I'd prefer Vampires, but Zombies could work. Somehow I think you'd lose the "I love your art for my kids' room" crowd with THAT makeover!

I love how you added (and ninjas). LOL Brilliant!

oh yes, ninja's. I have thought about reading that book, but something is holding me back!

I'm all about anything that might end up in vampires and/or zombies. You go girl. Just when I thought my reading list was long enough...you've gone and inspired me to add another to the list. If you come over and watch the kids I can get reading!

anyway you could do vampires & ninjas? zombies just leave so much to be desired what with their skin falling off & oozing...now vampires thats like vintage reclaimed deep south mystical heart pounding...sorry, I started going off into fantasy land lol...your work is always awesome!! can't wait to see what direction you go with this...maybe open up a new avenue for those of us that refuse to grow up but don't want little kid decor ;o)

(really really? or are you pulling my leg)?

Because I really hope you're not, as I never could get through Pride and Prejudice and think I most certainly COULD if there was a zombie element!

That book is currently sitting on my nightstand, just waiting for me to read it. Perhaps tonight. :o)
Love the new shop direction though, go with that!

Ok, so I've had a crush on Mr Darcy for about as long as I can remember, and if I go and pick this book up and he gets eaten by zombies I'm going to cry... and it will be all your fault!

Cute post - saw the book at B&N and immediately thought of you!! Love the zombie, but those long elegant necks are just crying out for a couple bite marks, and a cute little vamp peering over her shoulder.

I'll bet that would make a great musical, too! Maybe some lovely, sweet lyrics sung death-metal style?? Imagine the possibilites!! ;)
