I'm sick today *cough cough* which is no good, but luckily my girls are finally at the age where they can play together with minimal biting and scratching, so I can veg on the couch watching My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music. Yay.
Although lately, I must say that the girls favorite game is Peter Pan, in which Gracie is Wendy and Annelie is Captain Hook. Annelie plays a fierce Cap'n, and is notorious for smacking Gracie upside the head with the vacuum attachment while shouting "Hook! Hook!"
But today, they are playing Barbie and the Diamond Castle, so all is (currently) peaceful.
For those who didn't make it over to The Mama Dramalogues, for my post this Wednesday, you wont want to miss Gracie's new haircut {click here!}
Awww, isn't she just the cutest lil' thing?
And some more news in my life... Will was transferred back to work in the town we live in (Actually, I'm not really sure if I ever blogged about his work transfer to a town an hour and a half away, so I don't know if any of you knew that I was getting ready to move for the ... what is it? 8th time in 4 years? Something like that). He had been driving about 3 hours to work and back each day for the last 6 months or so. As of this week, he only has to drive 15 minutes. Hurray! And we don't have to move again!
But his work hours are a little insane, as he doesn't get home until 10 pm each night, and our weekends are now Tuesdays and Wednesdays, rather than Saturdays and Sundays... kinda weird. But livable. And I don't have to pack. Or move. Did I mention that I was really, really happy about that?
And last, before I retire on the couch for the day, let me just give you the link to this weeks crafty project tutorial (with templates!) that I put together yesterday: Under the Sea Critters for Felt and Paper Crafting {click here!}
Happy weekend! (for you, not me. I'll be enjoying my weekend on Tuesday)

I'm jealous that you get to be sick! I'm not jealous that you ARE sick...I am to, but mine are at ages where I'm not really able to just crash...and my hubby is sick too, so HE gets to be sick and will stay home tomorrow so he can get better and go back to work...and I get to take care of everything else. WAH (insert the soap opera drama, woe is me music). I'm glad you don't have to move again. It's nice to know I have someone else here in Texas as miserable as me!
aaaah, i love sea creature thingies! I wish i was motivated enough to do stuff like that. get well tho! I hear watching movies does help. =P
My husband's "weekend" is Monday and Wednesday, because those are the two days I go to work...so I can relate to the weird schedule!
I'm sorry, I had to laugh at the "Hook! Hook!" bit and then had trouble reading the rest for the giggles!
great news about the improved commute! the weekend thing is kind of a drag, DH and I have had to endure a retail schedule with REALLY screwed up schedules, weekends, holidays, late nights etc. I think the hard part is getting our extended family to understand and accept that we can't always make events unless we have A LOT of notice.
"and is notorious for smacking Gracie upside the head with the vacuum attachment while shouting "Hook! Hook!"...okay, that cracked me up. sorry you are feeling yucky. glad you don't have to move again!
Having a weekend in the middle of the week might not be a bad thing. Just think, if you want to go out and about... everyone else is at work, you've got the whole town to yourselves!
:)
Yay for not having to move too!
