NaNoWriMo - Day 3 and Some Music!

It's day three of National Novel Writing Month and things are going swimmingly, which means I'm still smiling at my word doc, thinking it's shiny and pretty and sparkles like diamonds, and I'm probably the most brilliant story teller who has ever lived.

By this time next week, I'll most certainly be staring at the same word doc, thinking it's evil and dull as mud, and that I'm the lousiest story teller who has ever lived... such is life. But finally, after searching for a thousand years or more, I found the inspiration songs for my two main characters - Huzzah! It's the little things in life that make for LARGE celebrations!

I listen to these songs on full blast while I type and by Nov. 30th, I suspect I'll have listened to each so many times they'll become part of my DNA make up. Though there is a possibility my brain might go KABOOM before then... we shall see.

I'm currently at 8,000 words, which is great, but I have to write double time as I know the last week of the month will be much too busy for productive writing... so now I'm off to up my word count! So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehen, adieu...

Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu!

Happy writing all you writers out there! And happy Wednesday to everyone else!

xoxo,

I don't have a word count yet, seeing as all my words are handwritten since the Mac is off getting a new hard drive!

OK, so I guess I really shouldn't mention how many words I haven't written. To totally CYA (or I guess it's CMA), I have a basket of chicken tenders on its way to my office. When it gets here, I'm locking the office door and not coming out for an hour. Word will be open and I'll be finding a way to use the word "kerfuffle".

Dude, April, handwritten words are my favorite... I do all my best writing in my notebook, and then type them into my doc later!

Alyssa - WOOTY WOOT! sounds good! And I can't wait to read the kerfuffle part :)

Amazing songs! "The Ocean Breathes Salty" was a gateway song for me when I was discovering the style of music I like.

Love that modest mouse!!! haven't listened to the Ting Tings but could not wait to comment. I love the consistency I see in your playlist for this book. And I totally appreciate the craziness of that video. Wish I could write at your house, sounds fun! Okay, got to listen to the other song.

Okay that is the video that blew my mind at Jon's awhile back, yeah? Again fits well into this manuscript's playlist. Oooh, I am so excited.

Jonnnnnnny - yes, I LOVE that song, too!!! You are so my music BFF.

Tina - YAY, I'm so glad you see the consistency between my songs! I only can hope I achieve the mood I want for this book when I'm writing... don't want to disappoint :)
