Down with the Knitty Gritty

I've been hit by the knitting bug the last few days, knitting summery halter tops for the girls. I'm working on Annelie's at the moment and she is so excited about it. She sits right next to me, smiling at the work-in-progress, just waiting to try it on, despite me telling her over and over that it will take me ages to finish and that she needs to just go and play.

I'm a bit annoyed that I can't find my smaller knitting needles... I'm making cute knitted ruffles to decorate her top, but things aren't working out quite as I designed. There is a big difference in using size 2 needles (where the heck are mine?!) and using size 9 needles, which is all I can find. Ah well, we shall see how it turns out. And I'll be sure to share photos.

Next bit of craftiness on my list of things to-do: Figure out how to crochet flowers. I keep getting tangled in the yarn.

And then, sewing the skirts to match the halters. When will I find the time? Not sure, but I'm determined to finish sometime in the next few weeks... or at least before winter sets in and the girls can't wear them.

Hey! I'm a guest over at On the Dot today, sharing how I make a lasting impression on my customers. If you haven't discovered Julie's blog, you are going to want to check it out. Seriously, it is fantastic, always filled with gorgeous handmade finds, business tips and giveaways. My one question interview today is about packaging... go on over and see what I have to say.

That's about all, folks. Have a nice day!

xoxo,

I've been knitting since my beading brain is dead, and I can't find my SHORT needles. I keep hitting the ends of the long needles against the edge of the couch and it's annoying me.

good for you...KNITTING! (my thing) Keep your needles (first, buy tons of 'em) in an attractive vase - longs in a tall vase and shorts in a small vase...do NOT add water!

You're such a crafty momma, I don't know how you find the time to do what you already do.
When you learn to crochet flowers, you'll have to teach me. I can only crochet a plain ol' un-patterned blanket. :oP
