You just can't have Halloween without carved pumpkins.
This year, my kids conned me into carving fancy pumpkins. Forget about Jack and his grinning pumpkin face... Annelie wanted a silly, spooky monster and Gracie wanted a haunted house.
Gracie thought the pumpkin guts were absolutely revolting and couldn't wait to wash her hands.
Annelie thought the pumpkin guts were fantastic and couldn't slime her hands enough.
A carved pumpkin on a step isn't anything special on its own. But add in the darkness and a candle...
And of course, the best part of a pumpkin...
Roasted, salted pumpkin seeds!
Happy Halloween, folks!

Did you freehand those? It's no surprise that your pumpkins are a work of art ;) I LOVE that little monster!
Happy Halloween!!
The pumpkins turned out fabulous!
Natalie - Nope. I bought a template book and carving knives... No way could I have done that on my own!!
shoot .... I'm feeling all self conscience about my good old fashioned triangle eyed pumpkins now!! hehe
They turned out fabulous!
Happy Halloween!
Love them! Like Gracie, my kids were disgusted by cleaning out the pumpkins...so I ended up doing everything!
They look fabulous, Marisa! My kids insist on the roasted pumpkin seeds every year.
Fantastic pumpkins! We carved ours last night too. Happy Halloween!
You are such a great mom! We threw out our pumpkin seeds and didn't even attempt seed roasting. I thought about it for a minute, then decided that cleaning out pumpkins for the kids was enough work. Your pumpkins are great!
Those are AWESOME!!!
The pumpkins look fabulous! Our friend carved an amazing looking one and said heaps of people bought pumpkins from his shop this year for Halloween...so it really is growing in popularity! Can't wait to move to our new estate...the kids will be a little older and I think a carved pumpkin on the front step will look amazing :)
